Obituary for Clementine Furchak (Pechinski)

Clementine Furchak (Pechinski)
Clementine (Tina) Furchak, 77, of Bayville passed away September 15th in Holmdel, New Jersey.

Tina was born in Brooklyn on November 9th 1939. The granddaughter of Polish immigrants, she lived her childhood years in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn. At the age of 19, she married Joseph Furchak Jr. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. After starting a family in Queens, Tina and Joe moved to Manalapan in 1966 to provide their children with a blessed and tranquil life in the country. Once their children were grown, Tina and Joe moved to Bayville, New Jersey. Together they enjoyed many years of worldwide travel, trips to Atlantic City, and weekend mornings searching for bargains at the Englishtown Flea Market.

Tina was high-spirited and always knew how to get a party started. Bringing her family, friends, and neighbors together to celebrate life was one of her greatest joys. She possessed the gift of making everyone feel welcome and comfortable.
Tina was a unique, creative, and innovative homemaker. She had a flair for interior design and created an eclectic home of wonder through her loves of antiquing and gardening. Her many talents also included maintaining a bowling average of over 250, cooking, baking, designing and crocheting hats, blankets, sweaters, and ponchos for her family.
Tina will always be remembered for the kindness in her eyes, selfless warmth of heart, and cheerfulness of spirit. She was always a bright spot in everyone’s life.

She is predeceased by her husband Joseph, parents Leo and Wanda Pechinski; and her brother-in-law Danny Driscoll. She is survived by her sister Frances Hopps (Thomas) of Bradley Beach; children Theresa (George) Shackil of Southampton; Joseph Furchak III (Deborah) of Manalapan, and Janine Tempone of Freehold; six grandchildren Jennifer, George, Albert, Jillian, Donald, and Emily ; her brother-in-law Richard Furchak (Patricia) of Midwest City, OK; her sister-in-law Lana Driscoll of Hicksville, NY. Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold.
