Seymour Jones
Seymour Jones, 85, of Red Bank, died at home on September 21, 2016. He was a Stuyvesant High School graduate and went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from City College, City University of New York. He received his Master of Business Administration from NYU Stern. Seymour was a clinical professor of accounting at New York University Stern School of Business for 20 years. He has written numerous books including Conflict of Interest, The Coopers & Lybrand Guide to Growing Your Business, The Emerging Business, and The Bankers Guide to Audit Reports and Financial Statements. Before joining NYU Stern, he was senior partner at Coopers & Lybrand and S.D. Leidesdorf & Co.
Seymour was previously married to Joan Jones who died in 1992. He is survived by is his loving wife, Elaine Panish; two daughters and a son-in-law, Arlene Silver of Manalapan and Jennifer and her husband Dr. Joseph Krueger of Miami, Fl.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and his wife Joni of Toms River, NJ and Robert and Susan of Short Hills, NJ; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 11 am at Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold, NJ. Interment will follow at Freehold Jewish Center Cemetery, Freehold, NJ.
