Adeline DeStephen (Wagner)
Adeline Marie De Stephen, 84, of Manchester passed away on Wednesday, October 25th. She was born in Brooklyn to parents Steven and Alice (Daley) Wagner. Adeline married Joseph De Stephen in 1952, and they moved to Staten Island to raise their four children; Joseph, Paul, Teresa and Dolores. In 1983 they moved to New Jersey where Adeline was happiest at home surrounded by her family and friends. She really knew how to throw a party.
Adeline was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Steve, Tom, and Robert and her sister Dorothy Booth. Adeline is survived by her husband Joseph of 65 years, her two sons and daughters-in-law Joseph and Margaret, Paul and Lori; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Martin Flores, Dolores and Edward Chandler. She was blessed with nine beautiful grandchildren, Kristine, Kerry, Jennifer, Kelly, Nicole, Michael, Daniel, Eddie and Steven. She is also survived by her brothers Vincent and Walter Wagner and sisters-in-law Georgia, Peggy and Joan.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, October 27th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan on Saturday, October 28the at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel.
